Description: It’s a simple setup. Prisoners in transit escape during a blackout and run rampant in a high rise apartment building, terrorizing the tenants. For kicks, they made the escapees varying degrees of crazy, with the man in charge being Carradine (James Mitchum who starred in Trackdown), sort of an anti-establishment mad bomber kinda guy. The group get a little more than they bargain for in the form of resident cop, Jim Mitchum. Lots of nutty, sleazy kinda stuff going on. Drunken party goers, elderly folks, kids…a pregnant chick. A few big name old timers like Ray Milland and June Allyson. All thrown into the mix for whatever they’re worth. Hardly high brow and not as violent as its European cousins, Blackout is still an entertaining and enjoyable romp.
