Description of Heat movie: This film was intended by producer Andy Warhol to be a parody of the 1950 Hollywood movie Sunset Boulevard. In it, Joey Davis, an an unemployed actor who was once a child star, is just making ends meet. He provides sexual favors to his landlady, Lydia, in order to get a reduction on his rent. At the same time, he is having sex with former movie star, Sally Todd (Sylvia Miles), in hopes that she can help him get a meaningful role. The tryst is complicated by Sally’s crazy, sexually-ambiguous daughter, Jessica, who tries to interfere with her mother’s relationship with Joey by seducing him.
