Description: A 20 year old murderer is back on the hunt, even though he was killed after that first round of murders.
The old detective that was on the case comes back to lend a hand to the new investigation, partnering up with a man that he knew as a boy that saw his mother being butchered.
What connects the crimes is a simple nursery rhyme, but the investigation threads are too thick to find whot the guilty really is.
Review: Dario Argento hasn’t made a good movie in too long – his best efforts since the end of the 1980’s are, probably, the two Masters of Horror episodes. Taking that into account, this is one of the best among the bad ones. He show that he still has the talent to make some great scenes, but the script is not on the same level. The film is a bit too long for what it shows, and a little too predictable to be better than average.
After a couple of unsuccessful creative research (“The Phantom of the Opera,” “Stendhal Syndrome“) Argento returned to the classic Jalloh took off pretty good, though not without drawbacks film. Though indispensable attributes Jalloh have not gone away – giperkrovavye artizatsiya murder and death, maniac coat and gloves, the music group “Goblin” and darkly filmed the Italian streets, she began to fade baroque, mystical, even magical atmosphere of silent inherent in his best films (“Suspiriya”, “blood-red”), replaced by a homage to Hollywood thrillers. However, it is not so evident as in his following, where the weaker works such as “The Gambler” and, especially, carelessly, “Jalloh.” Movie looks exciting, there are a lot of successful scenes like the beginning of a very busy and the final, which is always a good Jalloh, it is almost impossible to predict.
Graced movie and the soundtrack from the band Goblin, which is one of the trademarks of creativity Dario Argento. The dynamic music creates a powerful picture of suspense and truly unforgettable atmosphere.
I recommend this film to all, without exception, to fans of horror movies, especially their dzhiallo-direction, and especially those that are removed Dario Argento and I assure you, “Sleepless” You did not disappoint.
