Description: While playing with a puzzle, a teenager is repressed by his mother, and he kills her and severs her body with an ax. Forty years later, in an university campus in Boston, a serial killer kills young women and severs their bodies in parts, stealing body pieces from each student. Lt. Bracken makes a deal with the dean of the campus, and infiltrates the agent Mary Riggs as if she were a tennis teacher and together with the student Kendall, they try to find the identity of the killer.

The two video interviews are with director Juan Piquer and with actor Paul Smith, who participated in such women in prison movies as Caged Fury and Jungle Warriors. Both are wide-ranging, covering their entire careers, but with a fair amount of time spent on PIECES

Review: I’m gonna wager that most of you know this film already. If so, I shouldn’t need to rhapsodize about it. But if you’re reading this, and you haven’t seen it yet… Jesus man, what are you waiting for? PIECES is pretty much the ne plus ultra of why this blog was created – it’s terrible, hilarious, amazing, hugely entertaining, wrongheaded, tasteless, gory as fuck, sleazy and altogether wonderful. There’s severed limbs and heads a-plenty, a hero who lets his dick do most of his thinking, titty across the board, a random kung-fu fight and some gloriously awful dialogue that begs to be quoted and re-quoted until the sun burns out. (Best line: “The most beautiful thing in the world is smoking pot and fucking on a waterbed at the same time.”) This thing… it’s epic. Juan Piquer Simon, you will always have a place in my heart. You sick fuck.
