Description: A  runestone is discovered in Western Pennsylvania. The prophecy upon it tells of the monster, and that its release from the stone will bring about the end of the world.

This is one of those early 90’s monster movies that still have that sweet 80’s style feel going on. This film won’t blow your mind, but it’s entertaining enough. The creature and cool ancient rune aesthetic are sweet enough to hold your interest till you pass out on the couch from all the booze, weed, and benzodiazepines.

“In an abandoned mine in Western Pennsylvania was found an ancient artifact — a stone with inscriptions in the long forgotten language of the Scandinavians. Few in our day are able to read these inscriptions, even less know about the ancient prophecy of the Vikings, which says how to use this stone to call from oblivion bloodthirsty and invulnerable monster Pernera, and then the inevitable Ragnarok — the end of the world, so it was called by the Scandinavians.

Archaeologist Sam Stewart and his wife Marla, by force of circumstances involved in this story, trying to stop an ancient curse and find a strange connection between returning from oblivion monster and their friend David, who found a magic stone.

Meanwhile, the monster revived by the fault of the person who dealt harshly with anyone caught in his way. And the only one who can stop him is Thor, the Norse God of war.”
