Also known as: Assmonster: The Making of a Horror Movie
Description: Bill Zebub’s comedy about making an independent movie is actually very funny. It was included in the I Told You NOT to Call the Police DVD as an extra, so it is very rare.
Bill more or less plays himself, a film hack who discovers the world of independent movie conventions, where unknown directors can sell their mostly shitty DVD-R movies for $30 a pop. Bill, seeing this as a way to make some quick cash, tries to make his own exploitation/horror flick and discovers its not as easy as it looks…Includes 35 minutes of outtakes and behind the scenes at the end!
This surprisingly funny, self-referential, comedy about the making of a horror/exploitation is very watchable and highly recommended. Bill Zebub turns out to be a lot more intelligent and thoughtful than his movies and taste in music would have you believe.
