Description: Subway Serial Rape is the first in Kataoka’s quartet of films about young women being attacked on subway cars, and is chock-full of the eroticism, brutality and underworld danger that spawned several sequels and imitators. It also stars a guy who looks like a young Japanese Charles Bronson on the run from the yakuza and lesbian bunny bar hostesses. What’s not to love?
This was a somewhat heinous transfer from the late 1980s, with video generated credits and a slightly more damaged print than many of Nikkatsu’s vintage restorations that you may be used to from me. As with all mid-late 1980s pinku, it was simply an ugly low-budget picture, but I can promise you I’ve done everything I can to present it on DVD in the best shape an old VHS can provide, and managed to voodoo up a progressive/anamorphic transfer. It’s no longer nearly as washed-out, the analog video noise has been considerably lessened, so if you’ve ever seen an old VSOM bootleg odds are this is a pretty dramatic step up. There are some ‘combing’ issues with the credits, but for some dumb reason Nikkatsu re-edited those for the home video version, so there really wasn’t anything I could have done about it.

How come ladies kill, murder, rob, take, lie, drive drunk, punch, stab, plus do all items which guys do by breaking the law. Theres ladies on death row plus inside prison for existence. Theres a great deal of fairly violent gruesome offences committed by ladies. Women shoot their husbands to death. Women go on killing sprees. Women rob banks, ect………….
However why ladies dont rape or rape guys? Why is there no woman serial rapists? Why is there no women out found on the subways groping guy strangers? Why dont they exist like they do with guys? And im not speaking regarding school kids which sought plus chose to do it with their instructor. Have we ever wondered regarding this?

Subway Serial Rape was a gritty & depressing movie. Both of the lead female actresses are cute, but terrible things kept happening to them which made it hard for me to enjoy the movie. In many of the Japanese films that I have seen that include scenes in which ladies get molested on buses or trains, these scenes are limited to just groping and/or the victims are portrayed as eventually enjoying the attention that was originally unwanted. However, in this flick no attempt is made to soften the ugly & dark nature of the rape scenes.
