Cool! My only copy of this was a bad 5th or 6th gen PAL VHS rip. I didn’t know they’d released it in DVD, and I didn’t have the second movie (Empire of Ash III) at all.
To those that don’t know, Empire of Ash II was exactly the same as this first one, but released a year later. How they get away with lame stunts like that I’ll never understand.

I again learned to read the comments fully before embarking for things that don’t exist, like Pt. II. Yeah, there’s this film, then pt. III also provided by Wip for our entertainment, seemed natural. So, this might hold the distinction of a film being released w//o any additional edits or such, retitled pt. II, and off it went. Apparently the producers figured maybe 10 people world wide had seen it during its initial release, they just stamped a pt.II on it and sent it back out. I bet those 10 people who waited in line for the premiere were pist!, well, maybe only 3 actually cared to see pt. II. Saying a bad rip-off of Mad Max does this a bit more justice than deserved. Some of the filming was above sub-par, as were some scenes, but, it does make most others in it’s genre look pretty good. Sure, it has some appeal, I was willing to invest i the trilogy, but, I’m weird like that, a glutton for cinematic punishment if you will. So, I would recommend investing the 4.5hrs for the trilogy, maybe 3 for the the 2, maybe, if you also a completist. If not, you could likely avoid it and never have to answer “No” if asked if you had seen both of these, not likely anyone would ever ask, besides some like us. I know, sometimes it’s hurts to say No. KUDOS Wip!
