Description: 

All Wally Mellish, an ex-convict in 1960s Australia, would like to do is live a peaceful life together with gf Beryl. Regrettably when two authorities officers come around to disturb this, a misunderstanding rapidly becomes out of control, resulting Wally, Beryl along with the woman child being caught in their particular house, surrounded by armed police under the impression that Wally is keeping everyone hostage. Occasions quickly spiral into a media circus as, through the siege, Wally – inadvertently – manages to be a symbol for the anti-war movement.
