Description: “Sweetie” – the original and bold tragicomedy about two sisters. One of them, Kay, is afraid of trees, but believes in soothsayers and fortune-tellers, and the other, Dawn, a plump goose, quite sure that will go in the history of show business. Early attention focused on Kay, who works at a factory in the city center. She is convinced that the man, described as a fortune teller is the man of her life, is none other than Louis had just contracted with a girl that works in the same factory. Kay begins to seduce him, and soon they were living together in a shack in the poorest part of the city. Here comes into play her sister, whom everyone called Sweetie, who along with her boyfriend, a drug addict Bob walks with him in the house and take the spare room.
Review: Sweetie is an 1989 Aussie drama movie co-written and directed by Jane Campion. It was Jane Campion’s first feature flick. Genevieve Lemon plays Dawn, also known as Sweetie. Karen Colston performs her sis, Kay. It was moved into the 1989 Cannes Film Festival.
