Description: Plot is simple and designed like one of those storefront XXX one-day wonders, so it’s a little surprising, given the time period, all the action here is softcore. After fucking her boyfriend (the always entertaining Gerard Broulard, here more serious than usual, alas), a girl heads to San Francisco to visit her sister. The two end up kidnapped and held for ransom, and it falls on boyfriend Bob (Broulard) to come rescue them.
Sounds pretty by-the-book, right? What distinguishes SF Ball, and makes it famous in the few circles where anyone has heard of it, is its bizarre and unexpected plunge into full-on roughie territory. Not content to just violate their captives, the captors go psycho at one point, carving them to pieces with straight razors as they rape them, in scenes that would really be horrifying if they weren’t so poorly staged. Regardless, it’s still a pretty nasty shock in the middle of what would otherwise be a fairly routine sex film, and definitely makes this one stand out from the pack.
