Not a bad film, but astoundingly non-PC. You could no more make a film like this today than you could make Blazing Saddles. The odd juxtaposition of sexual menace (which never really goes too, too far) with “playful victimhood” (that’s the only thing I can think to call it) wouldn’t sell anywhere in Hollywood these days. The feminists would vilify anyone associated with it.

This is a highly-enjoyable drive-in classic of cheerleadersploitation (if I can use a made-up word). There is some violence (including attempted rape), but it is so clear that no one involved is taking this seriously that you would have to be pretty sensitive to be upset by it. The characters are all over-the-top caricatures of various 1970s stereotypes on the side of the baddies (the predatory lesbian, the semi-retarded bad guy, the mostly good-hearted bad-guy who isn’t really committed to the kidnapping, the angry black radical always wanting to go too far, the criminal ‘forced’ into a life of crime by being humiliated after losing his dream opportunity) and the girls (the rich white team, the poor, urban black team, and the plucky team we are supposed to root for / identify with, the secretly horny virgin, the sluts, the sexy foreign exchange student, the street-tough black teen, the poor little rich girl, the clever girl who comes up with ‘plans,’ etc.).
Of the 16 women, 15 cheerleaders and one teacher, nearly everyone is dressed in a sexy fashion nearly all of the time (assuming you ‘dig’ cheerleader uniforms), about half get topless, and a few flash their asses. Much of this occurs during a mock beauty pageant forced on some of the girls, so ENF fans will enjoy this, except that it is cut off before it reaches an ENF climax. There is also an implied part of the movie when there are no panties under cheerleader skirts, but the filmmakers are too demure to show what they imply.
The action scenes are pretty entertaining, if dumb. There is a little violence (including a fight involving a chainsaw done about as convincingly as if done in a school play) and no gore. The women are generally pretty, the breasts are real and have a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
All-in-all, a fun, light movie with a fair amount of sexiness included.
