Review: The most interesting thing in this Spanish thriller was the last day of filming, when thirty-three director Claudio Guerin Gil fell from the very bell that his film was to serve as an ominous symbol of the darkest events. And thus predestined continuing interest in his latest brainchild, in which the audience willingly or unwillingly just had to look for some kind of coded message and solve the riddle of Cryptologic, even if he has never existed there. Truly magnificent marketing course, which would be worth to take a note to producers! One caveat: if at the end of each movie to kill the director, will soon be no one to make a film. Although some one to use such drastic measures and would not hurt.

As for the “Bell From Hell”, if indeed to aim to solve all the puzzles, thought Guerin and attached a picture of Juan Antonio Bardem (La corrupcion de Chris Miller), you can be in the same place, at the beginning of the movie where the main character goes. That is, in a lunatic asylum. The young man, distinguished by inappropriate behavior, to bail her aunt in order to receive the inheritance. But the release does not please John, and he plans his revenge sophisticated guardian and three cousins.

Initially, the action develops very slowly, with an emphasis on a warped psychology. At some point, even the impression that the screen is the next version of an infinite series of imitators Hitchcock. But slowly, very quietly and subtly, Guerin weaves into the overall picture a mystical element, confusing the matter is final. Family thriller, which is based on the case of inheritance, slowly but surely becomes a detective with otherworldly motives, causing sight ghost of Edgar Allan Poe. A constantly accented attention on the very title of the bell, further makes it clear that the ordinary rational explanations of what is happening here is not cost.

By itself, the bell to the plot has nothing to do, doing only a symbolic role. He counts the episodes of the film, creating obskurnuyu atmosphere and, finally, its ringing announces the coming of the climax. All the action pattern fits in the gap between delivery of the bells to the foot of the temple and its first ringing. Each stage: arrival carts slowly wandering oxen, unloading, lifting the belfry bell – has its own scene. The closer the first blow, the more condensed atmosphere awaiting a solution. However, the director of a no-no, and deceives the viewer into these expectations, sending to the wrong path. Then pretend that now the film turns into a kind of slasher, forcing the hero hang their victims on the hooks of the local slaughterhouse, the podsunet absolutely sacramental theme with young girls from hell. But all these serve one goal blende – finally confuse the viewer, to bring it out to the highest point, to cut the Gordian knot with one stroke, as it should be in any self-respecting thriller.
