Description: 1944 Montauban: The second world war get over, the SS german soldier and French Police collaborator get nervous and more agressive. The situation in the local hospital for the surgeon Julien Dandieu get more and more badly and dangerous for his wife and daugther. Then he decide for their security to bring them in a small village in back country where he had a old castle. One week later, Julien comeback to the village from Montauban to pass the week-end with his family. But he find all the village population and his wife and daugther killed by the SS. Later he realize that the German soldiere SS still in his own castle. Then one by one he engage a terrible vengeance…
The Old Gun is a very tragic film. The theme of war is considered not globally, and by one individual, to feel its ruthlessness. After viewing the remains very melancholy feeling, a certain emptiness. How fragile human life and well being. Very good movie, I would have lost much, if not watched it.
