Description: Basically, watching Dead Leaves is like finding someone’s high school poetry notebook. You know you shouldn’t poke around in there, but you just can’t help it. The storyline goes like this:
Joey’s girlfriend Laura dies. Joey wraps Laura in a blanket and drives off with the camera pointed out the car window for a few minutes. Then he reaches a hotel, where he gives her a bath and does her makeup. Then they drive to another town and the camera is pointed out the window for a few minutes. Then they stop at another hotel and Joey imagines Laura is alive and really annoying. Then they drive to another town and the camera is pointed out the window for a few minutes.
Then the movie is almost over.
All that takes about 70 minutes, which feels like at least three times that. Between scenes a guy recites poems by Poe and Baudelaire, and really awful music plays in several scenes. Some other stuff happens to pad out the running time, but I don’t want to spoil anything. It’s all excruciatingly pretentious and the only squirming you’ll likely be doing is out of sheer discomfort that someone made this and totally means it, man.

Don’t listen to the guy who wrote the description. He’s probably just pissed that there was no sex or nudity. Pretentious? My ass. This is a low budget art-film that is quite beautifully filmed, and featuring a great, haunting atmosphere. Judging by it’s high rating here, it seems that not everybody comes to this site looking for porn..
