Description: A struggling actor lands the part of a rapist in a TV reenactment for a “Crimebusters” segment. He soon meets a beautiful rich woman whom he begins an affair with, even though she is married. Her husband soon finds out and is accidently killed. The two lovers cover up the crime, but the actor begins to wonder if there’s more going on than he knows.
IN THE HEAT OF PASSION is one rare erotic thriller that achieves what it sets out to do, with the help of a gracefully aged Sally Kirkland(imagine Shannon Tweed in five years). Kirkland plays a busty Kirkland plays your typical bored, rich housewife who has dangerous sex with many young men.
There are a few twists to the plot, so I won’t give away much, except that there is plenty of sex and kinkiness to keep you entertained until the end. Some of the scenes are kind of limp, but the decent production values, and Kirkland’s performance, elevate this direct-to-video sleaze to the top of the lot.
If you are a jaded erotic thriller fan, this is for you.

I saw this film many years ago… I liked it… thought it was good… Sally Kirkland is hot in this… Not many films where Kirkland gets nude… Only one issue, this is the R-rated version, not the uncut version which is just a bit longer… but, you can’t look a gift horse in the mouth… This film is not on DVD, you can still find it on VHS… Thanks!

I nearly switched this film off after about half an hour because it looked like it wasn’t going anywhere fast but glad I stuck with it it actually turned out to be a REALLY clever film.
