Description: Place of the film – a religious Catholic community in the city of Paterson (NJ), 1961. Catherine, a young divorced woman with two children, 12-year-old Alice, and 9-year-old Karen. Karen was prepared to receive first communion. Cute priest gives her an antique crucifix, which he inherited from his mother. Alice with resentment and envy watches at the lucky little sister. To get even with Karen Alice brutally making fun of her.
