Two couples out rafting on the Tuolumne River in California, Hugh & Cathy Webster (Robert Webber & Carol Lynley), and Jack & Pat Trahey (Vince Edwards/Anjanette Comer) meet four escaped prisoners in a remote, secluded area. The fugitives, Brunner (Vic Morrow), Shepherd (Neville Brand), Cody (Norman Fell) and “The Kid” Roy Joad (Larry Wilcox), just want the rafts, the gun and the women. The men are tied and left by the side of the river. Hugh, a businessman, and Jack, an attorney in his employ, escape and give chase. But can they catch them?
