Review: This is left out by coincidence, from our view tape of one of the best French directors is able to surprise his rough farcical. A very sarcastic final, which is witty, but still too vulgar for Bertrand Blier, is striking for fantasy situation. Blier still gained a reputation as a typically Gallic author, Burke hateful bigotry, hypocrisy, vulgarity and satiety respectable bourgeois existence of a truly elegant and masterly.

In search of stories by two men – a gynecologist Paul Dufour and accidentally met by a pimp named Albert – the much desired peace away from opostylevshih women have a lot of funny phrases and plot twists characteristic of Bertrand Blier. But the “Femmes fatales” as it really falls out of his work and stands alone in the middle of a more ironic and evil in the manner of tragicomic parable that still have no motive of such extreme manifestations of misogyny and misanthropy. By the way, in France, this tape set up between two successful in all respects works of the masters of cinema (“Going Places” and “Get Out Your Handkerchiefs“), failed at the box office and has caused dissatisfaction among the critics. And in the U.S. generally demonstrated a chopped version (bills were as much as 26 minutes!).

In my opinion, not the best film by Bertrand Blier (Beau Pere and Kika). Comedy turned rough and strained, the plot in the second half of the band was a stalling, and finally and completely rolled up to the level of the Polish “Seksmissii.” I’m not saying that. that “Seksmissiya” – such a bad movie. But Blier – it’s almost a disaster.

Some of this film may even hurt. For example, in the first scene, we have a chance to witness the female genitalia in full screen – which, incidentally, is not surprising, because we are in a gynecologist’s office. However, nothing further as the original we will not see … no. We have to humbly and slowly watch the pretty predictable sexist dystopia, hear no less predictable purely masculine talk about cooking and benefits of leisure in nature, in order to eventually reach a reminiscence of the final episode of “Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex * But Were Afraid to Ask” Woody Allen. Or here’s another parallel – “movie in the movie” from “Talk to Her” Almodovar. Although, even without the accusations of lack of originality, the ending of “Peace” Blier is still inconclusive and deliberately. Like “evasion”. Yes, we need the ending. Let it be … like that. But why?

Absurdity is growing by the minute, and then the story at first finally stabilezes, but suddenly makes a new feint ears and absurd cheerfully replaced frank delirium, where scenes do not fit together, and the story is not related vytantsovyvaetsya.

With all though, the philosophy of the film Calmos impresses me – and from becoming even more offensive that such a wonderful director issued a similar confusion. The men in his film (in all his films, actually) – zashugannyh children who are not sex toys and submit. Women – on the contrary, cynical and lustful bitch whose main joy in life – sexual intercourse, and as a consequence – procreation. Their relationship, or rather – vzaimovyzhivanie – a favorite theme of Bertrand Blier. Just do not see why this time he was so unceremoniously lost in their own scripts.

Of course, there are also successful scene making fun of gender relations. Great movie in fact, if only not to know who he composed and delivered.
