Description: Main character Erica – Professor of the Vienna Conservatory. She teaches young people of the marvelous music of Schubert. But is the same time, as a monster of modern civilization, she is terribly far from the harmony of the spheres. She as a child shares a bed with a shrew-old mummy, lacks any semblance of a personal life, after school secretly visits adult shops and under the bed holds a set of S&M tools. When one of the students fells in love with her, she shocked him and the audience with absolutely wild reactions on youthful feelings.

Review: The film Piano Teacher has strucked me, impressions went for a few days. Watched it a few times and each time is perceived differently.

Erica (Isabelle Huppert who played in such other incest dramas like My Mother and The Story of Piera) – unhappy woman, so crushed by his mother since childhood, in my opinion, the problem is not even in the unlived sex, but rather that it was not disclosed as a woman. Inside the warped child who at age 38 continues to live in the female body, the expectations of his mother, but knows nothing about the feelings of femininity, love above all. Undeveloped heart. The lack of any feeling. Striking indifference and detachment. And at the same time, some genius and sensibility to the music.

The movie is so deep, I think this is one of the few films that you can watch more than once and each time to reveal its depth and meaning.

In my opinion, the film can not be reduced to the concept of sex or lack of unlived men Eric … In this film, a lot of faces, disclosed and undisclosed produce and perception depends on the width of the consciousness of the one who is looking.
