Description:1943. German army in heavy fights retreats from the Eastern front. To replace the slain commander of the battalion arrives Captain Stransky, from France. Though Cross of Iron is in my view one of the best War Films ever made, and I have also the other film in the genre, STEINER with R. Burton, I fail to see how it qualifies for the particular genre WOMEN IN PRISON. Having said that, thanks for this website because it is a real pleasure to see some of these films. Take Care.
