Apparently this is based on a true story.
A young PhD student interviews teenage prostitutes on Hollywood Boulevard for her thesis. Soon she gets more and more involved: taking the children to her home and getting into trouble with both the pimps and the police.
It’s strange film with Pet Benatar providing the main song “Hell is for Children” (…?), visually dark but with no nudity and very little violence.
I think the acting is above average with many familiar faces.
