Review: Well-known producer and director of low-budget horror films Roger Corman (Crazy Mama) once had the idea to make a film about how having heard Rock ‘n’ Roll, destroy school students and the high school order. Disco later replaced by rock and roll , and for the shooting not objective Remouns group . Director Allan Arkush charged , and his advisors, lit notorious Joe Dante and Jerry Zucker .
The film has turned out . What it turned out – is another question. The plot itself tends to 60th . There are funny jokes . Not funny . Even stupid . The younger generation of actors themselves , by and large, nothing is . It is different from the “adult” ensemble : gorgeous school headmistress Alvin Togar by Mary Woronov – her artistic career began in cult films of Andy Warhol and his so -called “American Idol .” A small but stylish role of Dick Miller – classic horror actor Roger Corman .
In general , no revelations film does not carry. Later was filmed on a similar theme of ” Detroit – Rock City ,” the singer of the group Kiss unequivocally . It’s all the same , only the chorus sung Remouns . But at the same time rock ‘n ‘ roll, and school time and pokurivanie grass . Everything that happens on the screen with real life has nothing to do – solid slapstick and tomfoolery – perhaps it’s for the better.
The evil strict headmistress ( swastika on the forearm and asks ) , her two henchmen , the Boy Scouts ,cheerleader , her shy girlfriend with glasses unlucky handsome – football business pimp – the entire set. If you relax and correctly configured, very funny.

This is the Citizen Kane of rock-n-roll movies. A true gem. One of my favorite things ever.
