Review: There is in America a popular urban legend. Husband and wife hires a nanny to look after her their children while they go to the premiere of the play. Nurse, a young girl, is responsible and caring. And here she is reading a bedtime story to children when the phone rings. Nanny goes to the next room, picks up the phone and ominous voice says that he came to kill her. Nurse looks at the caller ID, and understands that the call goes out of the house in which she was … Then there are different options. History is not new. What – what look like frightened children still in the 50th years. At this urban legend and the film is based.
Let’s start with what I liked. Director of the film broke the Hollywood taboo that small children can not kill movies. Nothing against small children do not have, but still it was nice to see how the film went around one of the most common cliches. The violence in the movie does not look bad, but a bit monotonous. The rest of the film is not no different than the huge number of low-budget films. The film does not hold in tension, nothing outstanding actors are the same. In the film you can spend an evening, but no more.
