Description: Occasionally humorous, sometimes delightfully stupid, and often just plain old garden-variety stupid, Larry Blamire’s Trail of the Screaming Forehead spoofs the 1950’s Horror/Sci-Fi B-Movies to which we owe so much precious modern day pop culture (God bless them for allowing “Mystery Science Theater 3000” to be born). A veritable who’s who of C-list film and TV actors parades through this silly picture where scientists decide that man’s intellect is housed in forehead and not the brain and the world is simultaneously invaded by– yes, you guessed it– MIND-CONTROLLING PARASITIC ALIEN FOREHEAD HUGGERS. The film stumbles, staggers, and stalls far too much to be a truly sterling spoof, but if I can commend one aspect of it its script it is the hilarious and purposeful dialogue errors and ridiculous technological phrases that the actors are “forced” to project from between their lips (our modern day players are in on the joke, but back in the day, most actors either knew no better or had to grin and bear it when such faux pas and flubs occurred) and the labored quality of fakeness instilled in the staging of any action scene the script throws at us. That kept me smirking through the stiff and stilted areas of Blamire’s attempts at poking fun of bad movies. It won’t be enough for most folks though I warrant. And I wager many audience members won’t “get it” to begin with.

You’d think Larry Blamire would LEARN after that “Skeleton” movie–but, I guess not!!! HA HA!!! I’m definitely downloading THIS. Thanks, WiP.

One of the funniest I’ve seen in a long time. I loved every minute of it.
