Review: The film is about meaninglessness. One can sympathize with the characters, to judge them or to think that the director Chan-wook Park (Thirst and Lady Vengeance) wanted to say, but the characters are changing their actions they take in their logic, and the director depicts a situation from which it is difficult to get out to some people and that change only by men. The fact that the film does not change to the viewer – it is meaningless to humans from another person.

Due to the fact that the film Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is presented as a revenge directed to the viewer, the viewer after the movie remembers futility (uselessness) of these events of the film for themselves, and directing techniques and efforts the cast are secondary – the general perception of the film after seeing it – it meaninglessness movie (but not mindless movie). Film depicting the absurdity, the author of the film does not depict what the audience wants to see from watching the film. From the viewpoint of a film script and a very high quality, but it is not for entertainment audience, and to present the viewer senseless revenge.
