Review: Excellent French thriller “La menace” in the spirit of the good old 70’s, with the inimitable Yves Montand in the title role. Alain Corneau successfully managed to combine action-packed film with a canvas of very high quality, from a technical point of view, taking a picture. In the film, there is not a static picture, sometimes the picture is mesmerizing. The scenes filmed with trucks is so powerful that the style reminiscent of the films of John Woo.
Yves Montand very convincingly played a truck driver, especially after the “Wages of Fear” he is no stranger. His hero cornered, empathize until the end of the movie.
