Description: Open My Heart is the story of two sisters. The older raised younger sister from infancy, took care of her, protected from the men, the fact that she bestowed love, both physical and mental. One day, coming from work, finds her younger sister with a man to whom she willingly gave her virginity, but who would have thought that a younger will fall in love. She had to kill her sister’s lover, because he took away from her love. Next happened a series of dead men, all who have ever looked at too tender at little sister.
Review of Open My Heart movie: I wanna see sisters flick each others’ beans, I wanna see sibling sex, father and daughter naughtiness and of course the big boy, Mom and Daughter get their scissor on. And we’ll have to start here with a little sister on sister love. Which I like to call Incister. Hope you get a kick out of it.
By the by, I just got this so I haven’t seen it yet. It seems to be a pretty artsy flick, so that should mean it’s good in the nudey (hairy beaver) department, but possibly draggy in others. But hey, it might be a good flick. Seems to be a crowd-seperator, but fuck if you like sister incest flicks….you know what side your on.

Open My Heart, a drama directed by first-time director Giada Colagrande about a prostitute who lives with her sister, opened at the Venice Film Festival 2002, and then was selected by many international film festivals, such as the Tribeca Film Festival 2003, in competition, and Paris Cinéma 2003, where it won the award Prix de l’avenir. Ms. Colagrande was also nominated for Best New Director at the Silver Ribbon 2003.
The Italian press and critics for local movie magazines described it as: “A strongly narrated tale about obsessive love between two sisters, “Open My Heart” by young documaker Giada Colagrande starts as a quasi-voyeuristic look at forbidden passion, then slowly turns to a very Italian film noir”
When it opened at the Quad Cinema in Manhattan on December 17, 2004, the New York Times classified it as: “A quiet, murky variation on the “Gigi” plot, which does achieve a certain claustrophobic fascination, but Ms. Colagrande never gets around to making her point.”
Other notable American critics simply condemned it as Eurotrash and aclumsy effort to proove that Italian Grindhouse is still alive.
Variety was less critical and wroter a.o. “Shooting in DV video in just two locations, Colagrande makes a virtue of her limited means by integrating the film’s necessarily minimal look with controlled shots and brief flashes of scenes. In the central role, she bravely doffs her clothes in a series of increasingly explicit bedroom scenes. At the same time, she creates a strong impression of coy helplessness as Caterina, who gets what she wants despite massive psychological manipulation.”
Thanks Admin for a great movie, be it either Eurotrash or a movie worthy to be screened at some of the World’s most notorious film Festivals.
