Description: From the ancient legends Countess Elizabeth Bathory discovers that she can return the departing youth and beauty, if she will be taking a bath from the blood of virgins.
Review: And once again, another vampire flick about a bloody Countess Bathory. Events unfold in 1807 somewhere in Austria-Hungary. And this circumstance does not allow to perceive what is happening on the screen lightly. Still, the myth of the Blood Countess is perfectly correlated with the Middle Ages, but not with Renaissance times.
And we all can consider that the “Bloody Ceremony” was some very very low-budgettrash, but it’s not – Jorge Grau shot a very interesting movie. The acting is very good, the atmosphere of the film is just awesome. And it seems – that’s it! The director was left to do one step to transform the film from the banal horror-movie into a beautiful fairy tale. But soon we realize that the film is full of diffrent cliches: murdered virgins, bloody scenes, lesbian scenes and many others
