Description: In a boarding school for girls, the daughters of the Prussian officers, enters the 14-year-old Manuela von Maynhardis. The school reigns military discipline, and all the works with an iron hand runs Frau director, Frederick the Great in the skirt. Like all the other girls, Manuela falls in love with his teacher, the beautiful Fraulein von Bernburg, which partly shares her feelings. After setting the school plays Manuela, being dressed in the costume of the Prince and drunk with the punch, announcing to the whole school about his love for Fraulein von Bernburg. Frau director denounces such feelings as sinful and intends to exclude Manuel from school. There’s also another wip movie with the same title – Maedchen in Uniform (1958)

A masterpiece of German cinema, and superior to the remake from 1958. This is an excellent print too. Subs aren’t included but they can be found easily..
