| Storyline Hard Luck is a 2006 American thriller film written, produced, and directed by Mario Van Peebles, who also co-stars in the film. The film stars Wesley Snipes, Jacquelyn Quinones, Cybill Shepherd, James Liao, and Bill Cobbs. The main character Lucky (Wesley Snipes) is a criminal who gets released from jail and tries to lead an honest life in spite of his troubled past. All goes to hell when Hurricane Katrina hits. Lucky is lured in by his old friends to a drug deal that goes wrong. Lucky runs off with half a million dollars and a Puerto Rican stripper (Jacquelyn Quinones). The main story weirdly intertwines with an unknown, troubled couple’s. The couple abducts, tortures, and records their victims on video.
