Description:DEATH OF A SNOWMAN aka SOUL PATROL is a gritty grindhouse crime adventure story that takes spot in the crime-infested town of Johannesburg, South Africa. It’s the late-70’s and paper reporter Steve Chaka (Ken Gampu) is following unknown leads offered to him by a mysterious figure contacting himself ‘War On Crime’ (Madala Mphahlel) who’s wiping away organized-crime under the guise of a vigilante cleaning-up the crime plagued city. What’s really going on is that he’s a heroin drug peddler simply getting rid of the struggle one by one with the help of some white assassins. The film has all the earmarks of a sleazy 70’s movie – worn print, scratchy audio, harsh editing, awesomely raw discussion and a nice swanky 70’s sound recording.
