Description: THE CRIMINALS V: A TEENAGER’S NIGHTMARE is the fifth film in the Shaw Brothers’ CRIMINALS series, a series of interesting true crime/exploitation anthology films all featuring segments helmed by different directors and with each volume digging itself deeper and deeper into the world of cinematic exploitation. By this episode, things have descended more or less into complete cinematic depravity, with a double feature of exploitation mini-films far rougher than anything Quentin Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez could make, directed by the Shaws’ two resident perverts: LOST SOULS and Men Behind the Sun Mou Tun Fei (better known as T.F. Mous) and Bamboo House of Dolls and THE KILLER SNAKES’ Kuei Chih Hung.
This is the last and the best part of the brilliant THE CRIMINALS anthologies, maybe the real origin of the “rape” films. The Shaw Brothers true crime enjoyable like some poor others, i hope you will enjoy this golden-age Hong Kong movie treasure. Exploitation, thriller, crime, horror? Hmm, for me is not important, just the power of the 100% CINEMA!
