Description: Here’s something for you whip lovers out there. From smut master and zero budget director Luigi Batzella, and quite possibly Gordon Mitchell’s and Richard Harrison’s sleaziest movie.

The end of World War II, the scene – Africa. American military units fighting the Nazi troops in the desert. And in one battle group of American commandos is captured SS men, who immediately transfer them to a POW camp where lawlessness reigns …

Review: His contribution to the genre ungrateful nazisploitation Katansky Ivan (born Luigi Battsella) introduced a painting «La bestia in calore», which successfully combined it with the military adventures, the final output, which is one of the first to remember when talking about these particular tapes. But in the same 1977, the screens went Katansky another film in which he tried to repeat the technique so successfully worked in “Best”, but with much less success. However, if we assume that a Russian proverb about the “first attempt” is true for Italy, it is likely that «Gli ultimi giorni delle SS» became a director, writer, editor and other Battselly not the most successful attempt at writing. Here are just a surprisingly decent for a frank trash budget several embarrassing.

It seems that actually Battsella just wanted to make a movie about the war: with detailed battle scenes, attacks the “Tigers”, the storming fortifications, explosions, fire, and so on and so forth. But the producers demanded logged in vogue with many nazisploitation sadoeroticheskimi fetish scenes and SS uniform. Here Comrade Katansky, void sumnyashesya took and stuck to each other, did not bothered by the fact that a single layer of his film to somehow fit another. That is simply not even circumcised hindering storylines, and not forget about them. Inspired by the game “in voynushku” threw «Kaput Lager» adrift.

In fact, «Gli ultimi giorni delle SS» consists of a two malosvyazannyh together film. One – the adventures of a group of U.S. commandos in the North African desert, the other – the story lost in the sands of the Sahara secret SS camp for prisoners of war. Twenty minutes of screen time taken prisoner brave warriors are behind barbed wire, allowing Katansky Crossing Europe run through all the possible nazisploitation-stamps. His SS run hither on neighboring oases, grabbing first comers “arabok”, then arrange the camp brothel. Of course, without this attribute of the genre could not do, even in the desert. Resisting males also takes with it – for the “experience.” Captured brave commandos brutally tortured and bullied them in every way over what is particularly zealous suffers from masochistic complexes Dr. Lessing played Lea Lander. The fact that this little correspond to historical truth Battsellu not care at all – it simply and without much imagination pasted on your adventure label «nazisploitation». Then gave his characters escape and sighed with relief. At the end of the film camp commander will order his destruction, and that is all that Comrade Katansky bother to report it too curious onlookers.

All the rest of the Anglo-Saxon brave warriors will be keen to fight the German warriors, destroying them in batches, despite occurring on the road military vehicles and numerical superiority of the latter. In this case, with some reason, they are pulling out of the camp doktoressu stolen, not otherwise satisfy her masochistic needs. However, why and why – Signor Battsellu takes little … Apparently that is not quite so close nazisploitation-topic for producers.

And everything would be fine, especially as the scenery and the military entourage in the film are very good level, if Ivan Katansky somehow was able to put the fight scenes. And they, by the way, in the «Gli ultimi giorni delle SS» take a good half of screen time. That’s just their arrangement is approximately at the level of children’s games in the “summer lightning.” To illustrate: ride in the desert four German tanks, stop just before the dunes, beyond which lie the brave commandos, from every (!) Turret protrudes commander eagle eyes scanning the surroundings, and then falls dead best shot. Joyful Saxons deliberately sent to the patiently waiting for them with open hatches tanks, throw a grenade inside and start to congratulate each other like football players, zabivshie goal against the opponent. Funny? If it was a parody – it is certain. Unfortunately Battsella deadly serious and keen to stuff their trash-viewer “battles” for a half hour, less twenty minutes nazisploitation. Why? Probably before the «La Bestia in Calore» training – there is something to the proportions it goes all right, and how to battle epics less.

In general, watch «Gli ultimi giorni delle SS» can only be purely informative to detail going into the history of Italian exploitation-movie. For those who just want to get acquainted with the genre, it is better to stay on a much more successful film Battselly-Katansky «La Bestia in Calore», leaving «Kaput Lager» gather dust on the shelves of Film Archives.
