Coming across this movie here brings back my own memories and opinion of it. I have watched this movie before, many decades ago. This particular movie is worthy to be noted for one particular scene in which Amy Yip is very clearly humiliated(unnecessarily, I feel) during filming. I will not say which scene it is, but I am very sure you will instantly be able to identify it without any hesitation when you see it. Yes, that’s how humiliating the scene is(and no, it has nothing to do with nudity at all).
Actually, in the Hong Kong film industry, it is a well-known fact that the Hong Kong triads have a foot in the business. In fact, it has been famously said that Amy Yip was forced by the triad to make certain CatIII movies/scenes. I suspect this particular movie(or at least the humiliating scene) was one of them.
It is interesting to note that Amy Yip has since made a clean break with Hong Kong show-business, and is now living a very low-profile private life, with no desire whatsoever to bask in the limelight anymore. Also, like some once-famous Italian and American erotic actresses who are still alive but who have since disappeared from the radar altogether and no longer look anything like their former selves, so too is Amy Yip. She is no longer recognisable, nor does she look anything like her former self.
Actually, if you bother to follow up on the lives of many once-famous erotic actresses(be they Italian, American, or whatever nationality) you will find that some of them are now living sad, low-profile, forgotten and broken lives…
