Description of Hot Potato: Jim Kelly Returns in this Thai adventure, that is mostly played for corny laughs and some fun-fu. The paper-thin plot revolves around a martial arts expert name “Jones” *ahem* (Jim Kelly) who is sent to rescue an ambassadors daughter who has been kidnapped in Thailand by the crime lord Rangoon. Some of the bad humor is almost too painful to sit through, but hey it’s Jim Kelly! Not even in the same class as Black Belt Jones, this is still fun to watch, despite the the bad humor pain. Picture quality is better over the previous rip on here, but it looks like they cropped off the top and bottom of the picture for the 16×9 image. I’m wondering if the film was originally shot open matte, as that would explain why it’s been cropped.
