Description of Femina movie: Bogna – a married woman , behind which – a difficult childhood , full of tyranny mother – a religious fanatic , and ahead – hopelessness uncomplicated family life. Her husband with his head immersed in scientific work and does not care about her feelings or upbringing of her son .
In this sophisticated, sometimes surreal, Polish movie with English subtitles and a wonderful score, Bogne Wegner, a beautiful woman with a small son, is unhappily married to a man immersed in his scientific work who hopes to win a Nobel prize. He goes on an academic trip leaving Bogne behind. As soon as her husband leaves, Bogne begins to have childhood memories. Then she learns that her strange, domineering, perversely- religious mother has died. Bogna travels by train to her mother’s funeral and dredges up more childhood memories together with grownup fantasies. Eventually, she has a sexual awakening, and comes to grips with the most important values in her life.
