In 1970´s Spain, certain films were released with an “S” classification -S for sex-. These were films with an unusually high number of scenes of sex and sadism. Escalofrío aka Satan´s Blood was one of the first of these “S” films and is still one of the most notorious.
About the prologue:
When Escalofrío aka Satan´s Blood was first released in Spain, censorship had only recently been relaxed. The introduction by the Dr. Fernando Jiménez Del Oso was tacked on to the film as a way of justifying some of sex and sleaze that was to come. It was removed from most English language prints, but I include it here for the sake of completeness.
