Review: Long before the book and film True Confessions, or James Ellroy’s classic novel and Brian De Palma’s disappointing adaptation, there was this modest TV movie starring Lucie Arnaz as the doomed title character, Elizabeth Short. If, like me, you are fascinated by the case, this is worth seeing–a solid piece of TV movie craftsmanship.
