Outside of the Daughter of Darkness movies, Cat III movies don’t get much sleazier, cheaper and nastier than Suburb Murder. Based really loosely on a real Suburb, story Murder is bloody terrible material and made me personally feel pretty filthy.
Cut together in a format that will be acquainted to fans of Cat III (the killer is caught in the opening scenes then the crime is informed in flashbacks), Suburb Murder follows the downfall of double-murderer Kang (a star with a hilarious title: King-Kong Lam). It efforts to construct empathy by showing him sadly peeking on his mom bang some man, and having him not rape a woman while all his pals have actually a go at her. Great guy, job.
Then it creates his hatred of visitors in a very distressing scene, which leads to an even more unpleasant and truly obnoxious rape and murder scene. All grabbed with the cruddiest of direction and cinematography. This might be scummy, scummy stuff.
Kang is a cruel criminal. When he was youthful, his parents despised him and slapped him when he tried to be or help nice. His gf is violently gang-raped by two visitors and this might be the beginning of Kang’s madness. Soon he sadistically rapes international women,violates her with a piece of wood, bites off her breast and lastly murders her.
“Suburb Murder” is one hell of an unpleasant film. There are three vicious gang-rape scenes in this sleazy flick in addition to lots of sex and full-frontal nudity. The starting scene is brief but very gory, as is the closing scene which leads up to information technology. Regrettably the direction is amateur and the acting is pretty awful, nevertheless if you are a fan of virtuously dubious HK Category III cinema give this sickie a try. 7 out of 10. Enjoy this depraved spectacle of rape and sexual physical violence.
