Description: Apparently, FRANKENSTEIN’S CASTLE OF FREAKS takes place during the Pleistocene period, because Neanderthals seem to be running wild in the streets! Case in point: a cave man named Goliath (who resembles a prehistoric version of Carrot Top) is captured and brought to Count Frankenstein’s laboratory so the good count can perform brain transplant experiments on him.
Take a heavy helping of LADY FRANKENSTEIN, mix in a dash of THE SINFUL DWARF, add in some TROG, garnish it with a sprig of HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN, and voila! Out pops one of the craziest most nonsensical pieces of eurotrash cinema of the 1970’s! I’m always amazed that movies like FRANKENSTEIN’S CASTLE OF FREAKS were playing U.S. theaters and drive-ins as late as 1974 until big budget epics like JAWS and STAR WARS changed the landscape forever.
Review: The castle is owned by Baron Frankenstein, lives a squad of monsters: dwarf Genz, Neanderthal Goliath, hunchback Igor, freak Hans. Naturally, the Baron is committed to trying to recover the dead back to life. His experiments require dead bodies.
