The movie is a fairly good rope bondage story taking place in the adult entertainment, show business district in contemporary modern Japan. Its fairly light hearted, the story is entertaining, Don’t expect much sleaze or extreme darkness. the Nawa shibari (rope bondage) is competent except a bit done by an inept young man who aspires to be a tie master. About half way through the yakuza heavies appear and some terrible things happen.
Anyway the film is quite entertaining. Please don’t be deterred by a lack of gore, pretentious sadistic or serious sexual philosophy. After all, its ‘in the entertainment district’. Recommended in your mix! There are a rash of entertaining nifty double meaning ‘knowing’ “audience cues” beginning about 1:12 and going on at least 12 minutes.
