Description: Here’s a fun movie from the ‘glorious’ 80’s. Destroyer” takes place in a dark and creepy, abandoned prison, but the photography is honestly very good.  And really, if the budget WAS pretty low, they do a great job of hiding it.  Of course I’m sure a huge chunk of it went to Mr. Perkins who evidently was a last minute replacement for Roddy McDowell(!).  Here’s the plot:  A film crew is sent out on location to film ‘Death House Dolls’, a W.I.P. exploitationer.   Many years ago a serial killer was electrocuted in the very same prison.  As the legend goes, there was a huge riot that erupted at the exact time of Ivan Moser’s turn in the chair.  Hundreds died but all records of Moser were lost; he was presumed dead but no trace of him was ever found.  So, you can see where this is going.  People start disappearing.

There’s a weird custodian who grins a lot, a good o’l boy warden, over-the-top director, bitchy starlet, young couple in love, goofy electronics ‘expert’, and plenty of outrageous facial expressions from Lyle Alzado!  Did I leave anything out?  Oh yeah, and some gore and full frontal nudity.
