Description: Erik Estrada (Chips) stars as some cop who goes around taking care of criminals in the usual 80’s action fashion. Somehow he gets wind of this evil mad scientist Thomas Moore (Tenebrae, Killer Crocodile) who uses some sort of laser beam to explode digital clocks, melting everything around them. This includes people, of course, as we are treated to a lot of Raiders of the Lost Ark-ish shots of realistic fake heads melting into bloody pulps. Anyway, as Estrada starts to move in on Moore and his gang, they start to go after him, the two sides make each others’s lives miserable. Lots of car crashes, explosions, and shootouts later, a long and impressive stunt sequence occurs which totally blew me away. Some of the best stunts I’ve seen are in this movie! It aint any Escape From the Bronx, certainly nowhere near the excellent High Crime, or even quite as fun as 1990: The Bronx Warriors, but director Enzo G. Castellari injects this film with all the right touches of style and grace.
