Description:
Meiko Kaji uses 3 many years in jail for avenging her Yakuza father, and on her launch she inherits the leadership associated with Tachibana gang. They’re very a nice lot, for Yakuza, but an unpleasant rival gang are bent on using over their particular territory. As if that wasn’t terrible enough, she appears to be under the curse of a black colored pet that got a taste of her victim’s blood… The movie requires a broadly familiar period-Yakuza tale and blends it up with aspects of horror and… strangeness, making for an interesting beverage of designs, moods and ideas. Teruo Ishii was one of the premier visual stylists of the Japanese exploitation wave, and this movie shares the style even though it’s fairly light in the exploitation. The plot is straightforward but the information make it interesting, and having Meiko Kaji as the lead actress certainly helps there also.
