Description:
A group of men are using dynamite to fish illegally in a lake on a remote Hawaiian Island. In the process, they awaken a monster, a reptile which has been dormant under the lake for decades. Soon the monster kills a local fisherman, whose mutilated body washes up on the beach. The local sheriff, assisted by a scientist, Dr. Annie Essex, who has been searching for new species of reptiles, attempts to figure out what has happened. When another mutilated body appears, Essex and the Sheriff attempt to get the owner of local hotel to close down to protect its guests, but she refuses. When the monster strikes again, the guests all leave anyway. The monster continues to kill, so it is up to the Sheriff and Essex to find it.
