Description: “The Crazies” – the third film in George A. Romero , shot by his own script. Of course, Romero known as cult director of horror films about zombies , but besides that , he took off and other paintings . For example, this movie , which made me see the interest in the story , clearly reminiscent of a new zombie movie. Also , I saw the remake of 2010 , I liked its atmosphere , and do not watch this movie – it would be a crime.
In the story – a small town near the falls plane containing an extremely dangerous virus that gets into the water system of the city, and gradually the locals start to go crazy . Still, I figured it would be a horror movie , but it turned out that it is a drama with an emphasis on horror . It is understandable. After military locked city quarantined and put its inhabitants, so to speak, a “chain” . They really do not even make out who is infected and who is not . This manifested the true attitude of the people who must protect ordinary citizens , and instead, follow orders, even without delving into their consequences. Speaking of comparisons between subjects and a remake of the original. Well, that both films are very different from each other and not one another shamefully copies . But still, I have distinguished tape George Romero turned sometimes boring . But , despite this, the second half of the film looks quite interesting.
Bottom line: a very average movie magnificent director, which will likely not please everyone . But fans of the classics , I think the movie gets to the collection.

‘Night of the Living Dead’ by another name, with Romero’s usual social and political commentary (which isn’t a bad thing). But it’s more of the same in a good way, slightly less bleak, and it features Lynn Lowry. So what’s not to like?
