Description: Set in Tomioka Joshu, the mecca of professional gamblers, this second chapter of the Red Peony series begins with Oryu, the daughter of the Yano clan of Kyushu and a wandering gambler, staying with the Togasaki family. Learning of the Kasamatsu clan’s scheme to expand their territory with the help of a loan shark, the Togasaki decide to destroy the Kasamatsu in order to preserve the righteousness of the yakuza. But as it turns out, the Togasaki clan is almost competely destroyed. Oryu who is obligated because of a stay and a meal from this unfortunate clan and who also values the sense of obligation in the yakuza world, stands up to the foul Kasamatsu Clan at the risk of her life, gaining help from Kazama, a loner yakuza.
