Description: Probably not getting out to the level of which was released in the same year, “Black Christmas “, but deserves attention . Such a leisurely thing , even more lazy , but with the creepy atmospheric. Promised at the beginning of the massacre slowly but surely rolled back , turns to an almost family drama about the ” sins of the fathers ” and then until his final fire goes in this direction.
It is noteworthy that just all future sleshernye attributes provide movie : will stagger ominous dark corridors lonely huts ( in the first person , of course) , pulling the door handles , sepulchral whisper into the phone , light a flashlight in his face , yelling (by the way , is very likely yelling ) victims and naturally a couple of fleeting , but relatively spectacular slaughter . Soundtrack oppressively minimalistic which “night” and the truth turned out “quiet “, but that she only benefit. The mood on the overall impression is formed perfectly gooey almost a Halloween expectation of something nasty . Also noticed a certain amount of creative finds like squealing dog that gently goes into the creaking door hinges , and mainly dark long flashback , shot in sepia with magnificent of being a silent movies ( this is perhaps the most interesting part of the tape ) .
Theoretically killer show at the beginning of the film , however this did not affect the further plot. By the final twisted everything correctly . Act the way accompanied by the author’s words … on the one hand , is not the best solution for this genre , and on the other – probably the only correct way to apply existing qualitative story.
Good, sometimes very good, but still too sluggish . Realism – Realism , seventies – seventies , but in a common pot should explicitly throw another handful of bright moments.

1st: The quality is very bad, which matters even more when most scenes are shot in the dark.
The film is visually dark and haunting, I liked the style of the flash-back scenes – but also noticeably low cost. The few actors have not much chance to shine, either they are killed off soon or have only short screen time, like Mary Woronov who is always a good cast.
All in all a not to bad ’70s horror B-movie.
