Run time: Rating: 2.7 Genres: Crime,Fantasy,Horror Director: Jesús Franco
Storyline Jess Franco is really enjoying himself in this funny, pulpy comedy from 1999. He plays James Wong, (really Dr Fu Manchu), with Lina Romay playing both Wong’s daughter Tsai Ming and also detective Nelly Smith in a blonde Candy Coster wig. Rachel Sheppard is a millionaire’s daughter, kidnapped for ransom and tortured in the weird and wonderful Virtual Hell of Dr Wong. Nelly and her toyboy assistant call on the help of the world’s greatest magician, Johnny Cagliostro (a Howard Vernon cameo pulled from La Maledicion de Frankenstein footage). Definitely one of the better late era Franco’s. There are lots of video effects and comic book speech bubbles as everyday reality is left far behind.

Just when I think I’ve seen all the films of Franco, you come up with one that’s new to me. Thank you. I’ve said it before but I feel compelled to say it again: This is absolutely the best site in the Internet universe to find obscure and rare films with a no-hassle download. I hold you in high esteem and am grateful for your hard work.
